Some of this, I touched on in my 20th Anniversary celebration.
• The original Grove Street Families disbanded by GTA V. Carl Johnson’s lived the good life as a multibillionaire in the state of San Andreas. The Families that continued repping green in Los Santos would both deal into drugs and sometimes be strung out on said drugs, going against what the gang used to stand for.
• There’s a small window of possibility that Sweet left the hood behind with Carl. My reason for sometimes believing this is because Sweet visited Madd Dogg’s mansion during the trial verdict for Tenpenny. It’s non-important on the surface, but it shows that Sweet could exist in that environment if he wanted to, because Carl and Kendl would be there.
• Additionally, Ballas and Vagos making a comeback by GTA V doesn’t invalidate them being wiped out of Los Santos in ‘92. Carl Johnson took over LS when it mattered. He matured since, he went on a long state-wide journey before even reaching that point. All the gangs by GTA V including the divided Families are clinging to a washed up fantasy CJ knew was bullshit before getting his brother out of prison.
• Franklin’s DLC for GTA Online did some fan service for San Andreas. As a major twist, Families and Ballas united against the Vagos. It’s been logged that they pretty much gave up a half of century beef. And it says a lot when you consider how closely acquainted the Ballas were with the Vagos throughout crack first being brought into Los Santos all those years ago.
• OG Loc & Madd Dogg both reached out to Franklin Clinton and his Vinewood Hills management firm. Madd Dogg even went as far as to visit Franklin in his office. It’s possible that CJ recently retired as Madd Dogg’s manager, or that CJ might be more close to Franklin one day if the opportunity called for it.
• Varrios Los Aztecas became an “international organization” by GTA V. This opens up the possibility that Cesar didn’t necessarily have to leave the hood behind like Carl did, but bring the Varrio with him. I think San Andreas nailed it home how closely attached Cesar became to San Fierro. That chop shop in Doherty just might’ve been the one highlight of his life to convince him that there’s more out there than what he knew before.
• The Four Dragons Casino went on to be the #1 spot in all of Las Venturas. CJ, Woozie and Ran Fa Li would continue that lifetime partnership. San Fierro Triads would stay wary of Triads who opened up in Los Santos by 2013.

[GTA IV]
• Niko Bellic took Claude’s place as the quiet fixer of Liberty City before leaving that life in the dark after enough bloodshed took place.
• Roman and Mallorie Bellic have done an okay job raising their child, who’s already close to turning 18 at this point. Christ...
• Niko’s stayed in touch with most of the friends he’s made in the crime life. Little Jacob for instance wouldn’t just leave Niko alone. Brucie probably still enjoys partying with the Bellic cousins every once in awhile. Packie very sadly did have to leave for Los Santos, but he was a best friend to Niko and I don’t feel as though that they left on bad terms. Packie’s made millions from the scores he’s done in LS since the Bank of Liberty City, and it’s possible that the two will link up again as they used to.
• The most legendary names of the Lost MC were all killed off in GTA V. Dead in the San Andreas desert. Maybe a Liberty City chapter still exists even if it isn’t the base anymore.• The assassination of Salvatore Leone, and the peaceful passing of Jon Gravelli respectively marked the true “end” to La Cosa Nostra in Liberty City. The mafia families are presumably way more quiet now, less visible in the public eye. Vercetti’s retirement allowed them to maintain certain business in Vice City, which we might actually see soon for GTA VI.
• Russian Mob might still have a decent presence, and if not, the Triads probably picked up where they left off. The Triads noticeably had less of a major feud with mafia families after how badly Leones hit them going into the 2000s. Triads on one hand could take advantage of how weakened the Italians are now, but Chinatown’s a place in Liberty City that’s always booming, so there would be little to no need for more bad blood.
